Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

The Basics

FretLogic is a free set of browser-based music tools. By using the site, you're agreeing to these terms. They're pretty simple.

What You Get

A guitar tuner, metronome, chord charts, scale finder, chord progression builder, and whatever else I add over time. All free, all running in your browser. No downloads, no installs, no accounts.

How You Can Use It

Use the tools however you want. Personal practice, teaching, writing, performing. That said, these are practice and reference tools. For something like a recording session, double-check with a dedicated hardware tuner. Browser tools are good but not infallible.

No Guarantees

Everything here is provided "as is." I do my best to keep things accurate and functional, but bugs happen and browsers can be unpredictable. If something breaks, let me know and I will fix it.

Liability

These are free tools on the internet. I'm not liable if something doesn't work the way you expected, if you miss a note because the tuner was off, or if your browser decides to be difficult. Use your own judgment.

The Site Itself

The design, code, graphics, and tool interfaces on FretLogic are my work. Please don't copy the site wholesale or pass it off as your own. If you want to reference something or have a collaboration idea, just reach out.

Third-Party Stuff

The site uses Google Analytics and may eventually use Google AdSense. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which are separate from mine.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. If so, the date at the top changes. Nothing dramatic.
